When can the abortion pill be taken?

The abortion pill is used early in pregnancy. It may be taken as early as about 4–6 weeks and is FDA approved for use up to 10–11 weeks after your last menstrual period.

An ultrasound can determine the gestational age and confirm that the pregnancy is located in the uterus.
