You Should:

  • Listen: Ask about her concerns.
  • Support: Your partner needs your support, and most often, she wants to hear from you.
  • Engage in Conversation: Talk about how this will affect your relationship.
  • Gather Facts: Learn your options together.
  • Be Honest: Share your hopes and thoughts. They matter to her more than you know.
  • Show up: Come with her to the ultrasound appointment.

You Should Not:

  • Bail: I repeat, do not bail! Instead, stay involved in the decision-making process.
  • Pressure: Do not pressure her one way or another. Make choices together.
  • Forget Your Role: Do not forget who you are as the father. You are fully equipped to provide and protect. Don’t sell yourself short.

A New Generation serves women and men in Hernando County Florida and surrounding areas by providing holistic services related to early pregnancy decisions, peer counseling, support, and practical help. All our services are confidential and are provided at no cost to our clients.  We believe each person has a right to get information from a resource that will not profit from the choices and pregnancy decisions they make. While we do not provide or refer for abortion services, we can answer your questions about side effects, what to expect, and more.
