When symptoms appear, it may be called an STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease). The important thing to know is that many infections don’t show symptoms, but they can still be passed to others.

Why testing matters—especially if you may be pregnant

If you think you might be pregnant or are considering abortion, STD/STI testing is an important step. Certain infections, like Chlamydia or Gonorrhea, can lead to complications if they are not treated—especially during pregnancy or certain medical procedures.
