About the Range: Tampa Bay Sporting Clays is more than just a shooting range. They’re located on 260 acres of wooded terrain and provide a unique facility for the Tampa Bay area\, perfect for a grand sporting clay shoot event.   What’s included at the event? 50 12- or 20-Gauge\, shells/ammo\, 50 targets\, range feesBreakfast Sandwich & Coffee\, Raffles\, Water\, Lunch\, Awards\, and lots of fun. Ear & Eye protection is required the entire time on the range\, whether shooting or. spectating.For Eye protection\, be sure to bring your own glasses or sunglasses from home so you don’t have to purchase an extremely fashionable $5 pair from at the Range Clubhouse.For Ear protection\, Squishy earplugs are provided in the Shooters’ Swag Bag.   What facilities are going to be there? Breakfast & Lunch is served outdoors under a large pavilion.Tables & Chairs provided.Restrooms are located just outside the range clubhouse.The range provides gear and apparel for sale.The range provides a limited number of 20- and 12-gauge rentals.   What should I wear? Dress for the weather.Wear shoes for hiking terrain.   Is sporting clays like skeet or trap? Sporting clays are designed to simulate field shooting and mimic the flight path of gamebirds (flushing\, crossing\, incoming)\, as well as rabbits running across the ground. You’ll move from station to station where new target presentations are thrown according to the design of the station.   Do I need experience? No! A TBSC range officer or staff member will conduct a quick training to precede the event. This is not a shooting lesson; this is a safety overview\, but you will be breaking targets in no time!   Can I bring my own 12-gauge or 20-gauge? Yes. Ammo (50 shells) will be provided to each shooter for either a 12- or 20-gauge gun.   Can I Rent a Gun at the Event? Tampa Bay Sporting Clays (TBSC) provides a limited number of 20- and 12-gauge rentals. You only need one gun per group of approximately four (4) people. TBSC does not rent their guns in the rain. They will take gun reservations specifically for our Event. All guns will be rented without reservations on a first-come\, first-serve basis. You must be a legal US citizen and over 21 years old to rent a shotgun at TBSC. You will be required to provide a valid license for a gun rental. CLICK HERE to review the TBSC Gun Rental Form. Remember – We provide the ammo – 50 shells per shooter for either a 12- or 20-gauge gun.   How many clay targets will be thrown? Fifty (50) clay targets per shooter.   How long does it take to complete the course? You can expect to spend about three (3) hours on the course depending on the speed of clays thrown (short delays at times from reloading or jamming issues)\, the speed of participants\, and the total number of participants.   Will we be driving club cars (carts) or walking the course? Club cars (carts) will be provided. One (1) cart will be assigned for each team of four (4).   Do I need to sign any release forms? All shooters and spectators must read and sign the Tampa Bay Sporting Clays’ Waiver of Liability\, Indemnification Agreement\, and Covenant Not to Sue. The Waiver Form will be required at the Registration table on the day of the Event. If you want to review the Waiver Form ahead of time\, CLICK HERE.   Can I drink alcohol or smoke marijuana? No. No alcoholic beverages or recreational drugs/drug use are allowed before or during shooting.
